A dryer that is no start is one of the highest-intent searches we get. This article is the field version: what we test first in Tampa Bay, which heating elements, thermostats, belts, igniters and thermal fuses usually fail, and when it is not worth repairing.

First checks before you call
Power at the outlet. Supply valves open. For dryers, the vent hood outside. For washers, the drain standpipe. For fridges, the condenser coils. If those are clean and it is still no start, stop DIY and book a tech — especially sealed-system and high-voltage microwave work.
What we stock
Heating elements, thermostats, belts, igniters and thermal fuses cover most first-visit completions. Error codes help; they do not replace a meter.
